Meet the Doctors
Meet Dr. Lucas Perrigo
Dr. Perrigo completed his undergraduate studies in 1994 at Auburn University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1998, he enrolled at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry where he earned the Dean’s Scholarship and became a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2002.
Dr. Perrigo is an enthusiastic student of postgraduate dental education. Many hours are spent each year seeking excellence in areas of restorative, implant, and cosmetic dentistry.
For example, he participated in a hands-on training course in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico through the Medical College of Georgia, called Live Implant Training. Under the supervision of dental surgeons, he placed implants on live patients (rather than on artificial jawbones – an unusual opportunity and great experience).
Under a grant to study the integration of implant material with bone, he graduated in the top 12 of his class from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
Perrigo Dental Care is primarily a family practice where patients can receive just about any dental care they may need. Dr. Perrigo holds high standards of ethical care for his patients. He is extremely self-motivated to help people improve their lives through excellent oral health, and is always attentive and thorough in explaining options and procedures available to them. He truly cares about his patients and always takes the time to give his patients the best possible care he can.
